    ir 1024 MC JAMMING

    I have a basic ir 1024 mc that is jamming 3 or 4 times a day with 0208 codes i have tried a new fuser unit complete i have checked sensors on paper feed path it has new feed and sep rollers and modified springs in the cassette still jamming its a new mc only 4k on clock only been installed for a month any ideas

    0208 occurs as the copy lead edge stops between the registration roller and the fixing assembly. The 0208 jam is listed as a stationary jam at the registration roller.

    Replace or Inspect the SL2 solenoid/on Paper Pick-Up Assembly
    Check the locking force of the Left Door Assembly/continuous copying/printing could have deformed the Left Cover Open/Close Lever
    installation position of the Compression Spring for lever is changed, and the number of Compression Springs has increased from 1 to 2
    the length of the Compression Spring, the shape of the Left Cover Open Close Lever and the
    Rear Fixing Guide have been changed.

    I had the same problem and I resolved it by replacing the SW2.
