    ir3530

I have a canon ir3530 that gives me an out of paper message for tray 1. The tray up actuator is in place. Do I need a lift motor? The tray itself is ok. The machine has 1.1 million copies on it. I am filling in for our canon guy, I am a ricoh tech. Please let me know the lift motor part number. Thanks

Look to the back of the cassette's area, and see if you have any paper wedged at the back, that can be interfering with the lift sensing stuff.

You can isolate the problem in another way that will take some screwdriver time. Swap the paper feed units from 1 and 2. you will have to swap the guides and the steel rear brackets as well. If the problem moves to cassette 2, it is a sensing issue, or a mechanical problem. The lifting is accomplished by the paper feed assembly itself....
