@charm5496 I swap the gear of ITB and clean inside the transfer belt too.

Ohh Maybe the cassette 1,2,3,4, has problem, when I put the paper in to cassette, the printer does not know paper, it is keep alarm empty cassete. maybe that is the reason why it isn't print with PG10 or something .

Thank you Teckat i will interested in to the coner of laser gear.

Your post is or was about colour misalignment not the fact that all 4 cassettes don't work.

Load paper in all 4 trays in normal user mode and check "paper select" to see if the machine knows there's paper in the trays.

If this works ok, your not using PG PICK properly.

When you cleaned the transfer belt did you clean the rubber rollers, was the transfer assembly dirty inside?

    In my humble opinion,

IR C3200 series is junk, between the transfer belts, fusers, and doc feeders, it's crap on wheels. If it's a customers machine or you just *really* like having one, just buy one off lease for $100 and call it a day. That's what they go for around here in good condition with less than 150k on them.

EDIT: forgot about the damn rubber rollers after the fuser melting and slinging molten rubber everywhere.

    Same goes for C3170's

Actually, I've been impressed lately with the newer Ricoh color machines for customers that need a 20-40 ppm machine.

My favorite Canon b&w still is the IR 3300 series, and for color the ones I've had the least problems with is the IR C5058

    this model has it's moments,
most of the issues are from customer abuse> poor location>abuse of monthly volume>poor understanding what this printer is capable of doing and all around general abuse of printer.

I had over 80 of these at one in-house account/ once I set up a Tech maintenance program & Customer instruction program- down time improved 75%.

We tried something like that but most of the customers didn't follow it, not sure why, other than their arrogance, I think we are currently down to 5 left in the field.

so you are comparing a new Ricoh to a 10 y/o old Canon device??? intersting
Like Teckat side when these units were used properly and maintained well they rarely had issues. At one point we had 500+ of these under contract and still have 146 or so still out in the field. As far the 5058 being better...not in a million years. The 5058 is right there with the 3170.

You didn't specify what generation color machine I prefer, and that's all it was, a preference, not a comparison (inb4 trollbait). We have 200 or so in a few manufacturing facilities and besides consumables, rarely any issues with the 5058.

Meh. Luck of the draw I suppose.

    ITT: wat is good.
