errorcode E532 IRADV 2030 INT FINISHER C1

Ive had an error code E532 sub code 001 on an internal finisher C1 fitted to an ir adv 2030 colour machine. The stapler was not able to reset to the HP sensor because the gripper assembly had not moved completely out of the way i physically moved the stapler out of the way reset the gripper assembly manually backwards and forwards then closed the finisher door and it reset everything ok.I tried opening and closing the finisher door with cover off and interlock cheated and watched it initialise at least 20 times without a problem.This is the 3rd time this mc has errored in this way and every time the stapler has run into the gripper assembly.It has had a new gripper assembly complete the firwware on the finisher is latest 7.01 the mc firmware is 20.70. Has anyone had this problem or got any more information that could help.

Check if the return spring on the stapler shift front rail was is mounted to the lower body.
This will produce an improper alignment in the stapler shift front rail which will cause the stapler to miss and jump the rail.

The spring attaches to this tab in the lower Body -Located under the motor>
There are two tabs which the spring should be attached to.

To move the Stapler to the rear position:
Open the Finisher front cover and activate the cover switch.
This will cause the Stapler to move to the rear position.
Once the Stapler is in the rear position, remove the actuator to the front cover switch.
This will allow full view and movement of the Stapler Shift Front Rail and Spring.

I've got 2 brand new ones just installed. From day one I've had paper jams and error codes due to the gripper assembly fouling the stapler. I've upgraded the 2030 firmware to V24 and the finisher is on V7.01.
I've still got lots of contacts at Canon and it sounds like they (Canon) still do not know what causes it.
V25 firmware is due for release soon apparently.
