    ir 3025

    When i turn on copier on display:Remaining data that is not needed is being erased.Do not turn of the main power.

    Format HD
    Installed new firmware
    Clear m-con
    Inspect ram

    Any help.Thanks

    I believe he is referring to the Hard Drive Erase security kit option that can be installed on copiers.

    whenever you turn the power off/on on the copier the machine is going to go through that process where it erases all user data on the HDD to keep there information secure.

    that option cannot be removed if I remember correctly. I think the only way to get rid of it is to install a new HDD and reload the entire system on the device. You will to physically remove the HDD erase kit from the device along with the current HDD.

    The time it takes is dependent on the amount of data that has been stored since the last time the machine was power cycled.
