    Re: Help In secure printing

To hide the Copy tab---no one will be able to copy
    Level 2 >copier >option >body > UI-COPY (switch to zero)

If you want it to work some other way you have to use ID mode, and select (print with unknown ID)
and tell Id mode which functions you want it to control.
the uncontrolled tabs will show on control panel.

I didn't know how go to Level two so I called canon company and they brought some technical guy from there, he was lost saying it's been long time since he did it and that he couldn't remember, so I showed him your reply and he was like : YES! that is it.
    so thank you
    But
we did this only for 3080 and when I showed him 2520 he told me that I couldn't do this to 2520 and I had to cancel the button by removing its socket and that if he did that I will lose the scan button too! it didnt make sense to me... why wouldn't I be able to cancel the copy button on 2520? I couldnt argue further because he was from canon comany and was supposed to know better, I didn't wantact like a smart dude...
but Im still not convinced, why can't i cancel the COPY button likeI did in 3080?

i dont work on 2520 or have a manual.
i have seen for some other model models where tutrning off one tab also turns another off, like the guy said.
i will check the 2520 guys.

Please do, I'm afraid those guys are not taking me seriously and doing things in some ways just because it's easier for them taking advantage of my ignorance

    Re: Help In secure printing

Generally speaking, newer models are always closer to uniFlow.
So 2520 is closer than 3080.
Now Canon has launched some new A4 models ir1133 and iR17xx series with a lot of enhancements.
I didn't play much with 2520 in this aspect but I believe it should offer more than 3080.

However if Dept/ID was so complete - how do you think Canon would be able to sell the UniFlow ???

PS: I have seen UniFlow and it does wonders once you manage to install it correctly.
