    iR-ADV C5045 with imagePASS-B1 vs CLC4040

    So, here's the situation:

Customer has now a CLC4040 which contract is ending, and our salesman has sold them a new C5045 with the embedded imagePASS-B1. This is our first imagePASS on a iR Advance.

What I'm curious to know is that will the imagePASS make the iR's output quality significantly better? Since the "basic Advance" has quite poor output quality compared for example to the iRC4080 -series.

it really depends on what they are printing and what type of stock they are printing on, but in my opinion the IRA w/ the imagepass when configured correctly prints good.

Well today I had time to get familiar with this C5045 and imagepass and I must say I'm quite impressed. The imagepass installation was simple and the output quality was really good even on 80gsm paper. CLC, beware!

I am an old CLC tech and the IRA w/ imagepass does a good job for its price point. Glad you have the opportunity to get your hands on one and give it a testing.
