Send to mail, error # 0801

yes I read the e-manual carefully and I did all the parameters but it's still not working (Error # 0801)
Just for information, I have an iRC-2020i witch is working fine in the same environment, I copied the same parameters (smtp server, ports, etc.) on the iRC1020i and still not fixed.
I noticed this: on iRC-2020i there is a parameters to authorize the SSL SMTP (TX SMTP) witch is not figured on the iRC1020i parameters.

any idea to activate SSL SMTP?

I had just successfully configured scan to email on a ir adv c2020h on a network running a cisco 1800 router. Apparently the router only allows Transmission of email with SSL to be sent out into the Internet. The exact same settings could not be used on their ir2018 which does not have SSL support. Now it's working seamlessly.

Btw gmail is mandatory SSL smtp reliant. So if the copier has no SSL authentication, you cannot use gmail settings. Try a regular smtp server which does not use SSL.

Hi Guys, I wold like first thank you for your help. the copier iRC2010i is not supported SSL authentication then it can not send e-mail with gmail.i should use only the iRC2020i to send e-mails
