    canon ir c3570 rewrite hard drive

    good afternoon guys,

    I have to rewrite the hard drives on a few of these machines, but dont know exactly how to do it. Can some one help me out and give me detailed instuctions on how to perform the rewrite. i need to do a triple pass rewrite. first with 1's and then 0's and finally with random charachters.

    Procedure to Initialize All Data/Settings
    (WARNING: DATA WILL BE ERASED. Before using the 'Initialize All Data/Settings' feature, make
    sure that the data you are erasing is no longer necessary or is backed up. Canon will not be liable for
    any damages resulting from the loss of data. This procedure will not erase documents or data stored
    outside of the imageRUNNER hard disk drive.)
    1. On the imageRUNNER Device (see above for supported devices), press the Additional Functions key, then,
    select the System Settings button (if assigned, you will need to enter the administrator password to
    access this menu); then select Initialize All Data/ Settings. (The default overwrite setting is once with
    null data. If an optional security kit is installed, the administrator can set the number of overwrites to up
    to three times with random data within service mode prior to performing the procedure.) When
    prompted to confirm if you want to proceed with this procedure, press YES. (It may take up to 30 minutes
    to initialize the hard disk and overwrite the user partition)
    2. After the Hard Disk is initialized, press the main power switch to OFF.

    Thanks for the info, do you know where i can optional Security or HDD Data Erase kit?

    The iR Security Kit enables you to erase the content of the machine's hard disk from a PC, as well as set the machine so that the general user cannot view the job logs.
    NOTE
