Inspect pressure roller,bushing and bearings.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

There have been cases reported where the rear screw that applies pressure between the fixing film and the pressure roller has become stripped. This creates uneven pressure which then causes the film to track improperly until it tears and generates a E007 code. Workaround is to replace the stripped screw with a longer screw or replace the fuser assembly. Also, do not overlook the screw hole in the metal making sure the threads are intact. fix1.jpgfix2.jpgfix3.jpg MAKE SURE U INSTALLED CORRECT PART IF U REPLACED UNIT Fuser Unit part number FM3-1293-020 is used for the iR 4570/3570/3045/3035 models. I have some Canon iR3235/45 modells with the same problem.
At the first time I change only the film (non OEM)
Second time I change the fixing film unit (FM3-7071) and the pressure roller (FC5-7207).
Sometimes it is not enough, in that case I have to change the whole assembly (FM3-7067)
But there are some machines in my practise that makes E007 error after 50000 copies after the changing of the original assy.
The worst machine of all, braked its first film at the counter of 15000.
I started to use my brain, spending a day with this problem.
I have made a naked fixing assy, using a 2cm shorter film.
DSC00505.JPG
I have cheated the right door switch, and switched on the machine.
At the time of the initial rotation (maybe 5 sec) the shortened film walked from right to left rapidly.
I wanted to adjust the machine that way, to avoid walking.
The adjust of the front or rear pressure had no result.
The adjust of the front alignment plates unsuccessful.
The twist of the fixing assy from rear could stop walking.
With a modified rear alignment plate the shortened film could staying on the rear during some motor test from the service mode.
DSC00512.JPG
On the plate I have made 3 new holes as you can see on the picture above.
To tell the truth I have not enough experience (1 month) with this modifying to say it can solve the problem.
Any other solution?
Sorry, the second picture was wrong...
This is a modified rear alignment plate:

I have ir 3235, i change three fixing film n sensor but still give error 007 am stack In this
please help
In the case of fixing film goes front, and tears, with the modified back console you have 90% chance of errorless working.
There also is a cleaning roller on those, if I remember correctly, that gets loaded up with toner. But I would guess
on a rebuild that would have been changed. FB5-4931-000 1 ROLLER, FIXING HEATSINK.

3 years ago it was a great problem.
The worst case was a 3235 which teared its film at counter 30.000
At first we changed only the film to non OEM.
After 1000 copies it went wrong.
Then we changed the film unit.
After 10000 it teared.
Then we changed the fixing unit ,and after 10000 page the film teared again.
Then I started a test with a 2cm shortened film in a coverless fixing unit.
I pulled it backwards and started a machine with cheated doorswitch.
During the initial rotation the film moved to front.
With my modificated back console the film remains on the back.
In the last 3 years I made more than 20 modifications and they works.
