Which driver are you using? PCL or Fiery Postscipt, both will work, only diff is driver UI and postscript offer better color matching features.

Under the "Ports" of printer driver, are you using 9100 port or LPR? If it is LPR, make sure queue name is "print". If 9100, make sure C1 itself has that port open(enable)

Can u print out a CONFIG PAGE ????
How is the Crossover Cable ??

In service mode select Function level one, Clear MMI. Next turn off the machine.
This process will clear backup data for the copy operation panel.

Note: It will be necessary to re-select the printer option and set it to "3" after this procedure.

The Printer will try to connect to the Device at Turn On. You will have to quickly get back into Service Mode and re-establish the the Interface Connection.

Copier>Option<Int-Face>Img-Cont from "0" to "3" Turn Off the machine and back On.

Print out all of the Service Mode settings and firmware versions on the copier:
    POST THEM HERE------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. Enter Service Mode by hitting Additional Functions, 2 and 8, then Additional Functions.
    2. Select Copier.
    3. Press Functions.
    4. Hit MISC-P.
    5. Select P-PRINT and hit OK.
    6. A Copy Service Report will print out containing the Service Mode settings and firmware versions for the copier.

PING utility is used to verify connectivity between the imageRUNNER and other network equipment. The feature can be found under the following:
    •Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > PING Command.
To PING a device on the network:
    1. Press the Additional Functions.
    2. Press System Settings.
    3. Press Network Settings.
    4. Press TCP/IP Settings.
    5. Press PING Command. Type in the IP Address you want to PING. (NOTE: you can only ping by IP Address and NOT hostname)
    6. Press Start. If there is a reply, the message will be 'Response from the host'. If no reply, then the message will be 'No response from host'.

    * There is also a PING command test in Service Mode.
    Copier > Test > Network > PING

If you get a 'No Response From Host' message as the result, it means that the PING failed. The copier never received a response from the host at the destination ip address.

To test that the copier is functioning correctly, you can attempt to PING the loopback address 127.0.0.1. If this also generates the 'No Response From Host' message, then there may be a problem with the copier's NIC. You can try the following to troubleshoot the NIC:
    - Reboot the copier.
    - Re-seat the RJ45 of the network cable.
    - Try another network cable.
    - Re-seat the NIC in the copier.

did you install the driver for the 2620 or the driver for the C2?

The print drivers you need are located here:
    Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : imagePASS-C2

that's what i thought you were doing.
that additional function area is used when there is no Fiery.
in the info sent to you by teckat, you meed to set IMG-Cont to 3, reboot, then a PRINT tab will show up on your display. You may only see Copy Scan etc. you have to scroll with the right arrow t, till you see 1 or 2 more screens until PRINT shows up.

If everything is connected right, and your hard drive is functioning properly, You will see IDLE, Imagepass name, etc

    press FUNCTION > SETUP
then you can go to Network Setuop and enter your I P address etc.
go through SERVER, NETWORK, PRINTER setup to suit your environment.

    2620 is just a slower 3220
