    Canon IPF8000 series error E161-403F!

    Hi all

I have error E161-403F on an IPF 8000 series printer.

I know this is a 'printhead L' abnormal temperature error however I cannot clear this even in Service mode.

I hold down the usual to enter service mode and get the 'S' in the corner however the error pops up even though I attempted to get in service mode. . .

I want to get into service mode to clear the error or select 'replace printhead'. . .

    Any ideas??

Everyday smth new !First time I hear about this service factory mode. Not sure if it will solve your problem though. If it does not work, replace the print-head with the printer off and start again.I don't remember any other solution.

ThanksI checked factory mode on a similar machine but there was no relevance to replacing the head or resetting the error code. In fact, I didn't see much that could be done in factory mode!I will see how I get on!
