Re: Canon clc 3100 error code E020 1F1 Help PLEASE

u never take apart the patch sensor/ u use a soft cloth to clean window/

no toner message on rip window= what color ?

Check the wire harness (FG5-4094-000) from the hopper relay pcb to each of the individual toner hoppers for poor connections or broken wires from tie wraps being too tight.
The Hopper sensors and clutches use the same ground connection. The machine could be losing the ground signal.

    *******************
This wire harness is no longer available. If the problem is isolated to the harness, it will have to be repaired.
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

The copier asked for yellow, cyan, magenta, but NOT black. The harness thing sounds good. After I put everything back together and turned the power back on, it turned itself off immediately. I moved the wires to the yellow unit and I was able to turn it back on. I have an old clc 2400, will that harness work on the clc 3100?

When I move them back into place, I was able to power the copier again. Could the wiring harness be the culprit of the E020-01F1 code?

Dang... didn't work. Could the problem be the circuit boards that the harness plugged into?

u probably have a short to frame ground ( a broken ground wire or a frayed wire touching metal )

u need to check your Power Supply DC in/out & for blown fuses ) remove & check fuses
this is difficult on this model/ if u swap a working power supply to a printer that has a frame short> it will cause the fuse on Power Supply to open-

I'm thinking about giving up on this copier. A friend of mine has a bizhub 250 do you think this would work for me?

    1. I do approx 2,500 color copies a month
    2. I do approx 1000 sheets of card stock a month.
    3. would the bizhub 250 be stout enough for a small print shop?
