Sure you can modify it. Get a black marker and write what number you want it to be right across the front cover. Can we help you roll the meter back too? Tell your customer the meter clicks 10x for each page therefore you really only have 100,000 copies not 1,000,000

You want to change the meter count or have different counters on the display?

Any attempt to change the S/N of the Engine will most likely result in a E355 code locking up your machine.
Permanent damage can result to the S/N PCB and the Counter PCB will be trash also.
I have also seen these Main Controller PCB's corrupted to the point of no repair also.
The Main Controller PCB and the Counter PCB are service replaceable items. However, the S/N PCB is NOT a service part. To get a replacement of this item requires the direct assistance of the Canon Hardware Engineering team.
You will most likely be throwing that machine away if these events were to happen.
