    IR3300 Finisher Error E 585

I have had a few of these Canon Ir3300 machines having the Error E585-0000
Turning the machine off then on helps in the reset only to return a few days later.
    Any Suggestions?
    Thanks

may be driven for a specific number of rotations; however, the stack delivery

If the same condition is detected during stack delivery, it will be processed

I had that problem twice this week, the only thing I could do at the moment was to remove the 2 springs that are at the back of the finisher. I know this is not a proper solution but it works for now... I will do some research on this, but I think is the motorīs fault, maybe M5.

Anyone else run into this problem? I have also been getting this code on a lot of Canon ir2200/2800/3300. I have clean the one way bearing on the stack area but it doesn't seem to work. What 2 springs are you talking about? Anyone else with a solution? Has anyone replaced M2 to see the problem go away.

Thanks I think know the ones your talking about. The tray that moves up and down right? Just remove them and the problem goes away? Are the springs leaf springs or normal ones? Thanks.

There are four basic types of springs that I'm aware of:

    1) Helical or coil spring tension: pulls in/together
    2) Compression coil spring: presses out/away
    3) Torsion spring: Produces rotational movement around the central axis
    4) Leaf spring: flat cantilever spring

For more details see here: Spring (device) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    What finisher is this?
Is it a single bin sorter?
Take off the metal plate facing the fuser an somewhere in the middle there is a belt which needs to be tightened.
Can't find any info on it, but there was a metal mod for that finisher, to increase the tension on a belt, but you can make your own
The delivery belt would stop short of the home position sensor.
