There are differences between the xx30 Series and the xx70 Series:
    Differences in System Software
    Differences with System Configuration
    Differences of the Print/Transmission Options
There are now three (3) types of Boot ROMs available for the xx30 Series*:
     C = Copy only
     P = UFR II
H = UFR II and PCL
*There are no N type Boot ROMs with this series!
    Differences with the Operational Panel
    Differences in User Mode
Changes in the Hard Drive (HDD) and SDRAM
    Paper Pickup/Feeding System
Functional Differences in the Power Supply
    Control Panel Unit
Changes in the Electrical Parts Layout
    Some Part Differences

    imageRUNNER 3225/ 3230/ 3235/ 3235i/ 3245/ 3245i = y2008
These copiers are based on the same platform as the imageRUNNER 4570 & 3045 series.

Just want to say thanks for this info now i know i have 2 Copy only, 2 UFR II and PCL, and 1 UFR II IR4570 machine, (which means i can only have 3 printers)
i would like to ask about the scanner, i have one machine (the one with P Boot ROM) has also a fax and a universal send kit. It can Scan to SMB right? I try to scan but a message always appear (see image).By the way, Delayed Sent is not set. Also I can't access the web interface, though there is a reply on the ip address when i ping it.

web access (RUI) check to see if "remote user interface" is turned on at the copier
    additional functions
    system settings
    3rd or 4th page down
if not turn it on then cycle power off and on it will then the copier should allow web access.

the message is because you placed a single sheet on the glass(assumption), just click the DONE button
should see message in bottom of screen "converting image", then "sending...."

if you have set all your parameters correctly in net config and address you should be in business

Thanks for the reply, i did your procedure on web access but still no luck, what i did is i replace the hard disk from another unit. Now i can access the web , the problem is, i can't just format and copy the disk right? Is it encrypted or something like that?

scan to smb now works, but only on windows xp. Does it works on windows 7 64bit? is there a procedure or set up?

How to Send a file to a Windows 7 PC :
Create a new addres in the addres book :

    1. Register new address -> File -> Protocol = SMB ,give a name to the new address.
    2. Browse -> select Network group -> Select computer -> Down.
    3. Fill the Username and Password for the computer, if none fill with a SPACE, can not send if left empty -> Done.
    4. Choose a shared folder in the computer (Public) -> done.

You are now ready to send to the PC, put the documents on the Feeder.
Hit SEND -> Address book -> choose address -> select the file type PDF or TIFF and resolution -> Hit START.
If it does not work, try to dissable the Firewall and other Security programs like Norton or McAfee.

Network discovery = on File and printer sharing = on Public network sharing = on Password protected sharing = off setting folder sharing = full control under public folder
