Service mode functions Canon W7200 with printhead error
I have a W7200 which I purchased with a printhead error. The error came up following ink tank replacement and the previous owner could not get it going.
I have now spent some time on this, I can get into service mode but if I go to the functions options the panel LCD, and panel key tests work but the platen fan, mist fan, purge, pinch roller, LF motor, CR motor and cutter tests just hang the plotter and I have to power off.
Does anyone know if the printhead error might be blocking these functions or whether I have a more fundamental problem?
Anyone got any other suggestions? I do not want to go down the printhead or board replacement route unless I am reasonably sure of a fix.
Any advice much appreciated.
