**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
I have checked the cover it looks good and cleaned the sensor thanks
turn off the printer.
remove print heads.
turn on is sm mode and see what it says
than turn off again - put head in
turn on in user mode
reply back
I have tried to enter service mode with and without the print heads in. I just get the message light flashing and close carrage cover .
If you got the same error message without printheads on - that excludes that printheads are at fault.
That means that you have a electrical issue somewhere.
Start by checking in service mode (under I/O) if the sensor is working. Try with a piece of paper to see if number changes from 0 to 1.
If sensor is fine than the troubleshooting flow goes like this:
1. Check Flat Cables
2. Check Carriage board
3. Check Mainboard
Depending on your technical skills...
If you are not a technician I would strongly advice to hire one...
thank you very much I am a tech. and sertified on canon units again thank you I will proseed if customer wants.
If you are trained on ipf series (start measuring both ends of flat cables).
Also measure the fuses on the main board to have a better idea.
