wow! no idea. did someone leave a usb drive in the usb slot? have you tried to unplug the machine for a minute or so then plug it back in? not sure if customer is really turning it off. Doesn't sound good whatever it is.
sounds like it was in download mode the somebody shut machine off or similar. doesn't hurt to always check the power coming to machine at the outlet for a proper ground, less than a volt from common to ground.

is it possible to download the system software 61 and share it with me for solving the problem "download" message on IR 2016?cause now im also in the same situation..the canon distributor doesnt want to come to our place for some reason.. when i turn off and on the unit ,sometimes it will go back to its normal operation..thanks for any help to be lend again to me..
