I'm Massimo, a new user from Italy, I've just read your post and it applies to my problem. I own an ir-1022A bricked with a "STANDBY DOWNLOAD" message on the display, I suppose that I need to re-flash the firmware using the CANON USER SERVICE TOOL but I can't find it anywhere. Could you please tell me where can I donwload it? thanks

u can't use Color iRC1022 Firmware in it.
don't know what USA firmware will work in it ?
CANON USER SERVICE TOOL /is part of the Printers Firmware for models that use/need UST to flash it's firmware.

I'm not a technician so I'm quite lost on the argument, I thought that the hardware was the same so probably the IRC 1022 firmware still works.
one is a COLOR Product =iRC1022
other is iR1022 Black & White

Hello to all,
sorry for my bad english.
Iīm from Germany and I have a problem with my IRC1021 i color Laser printer.
When i put the printer on he make a self test. After this a menu open with chinese letters.
Also there is the red lamp on the bottom of the control panel.
I think I have to load a new firmware to the printer. But also i need the Firmware and the
user support tool.
I have read the other comments but i canīt find a usefull help.
Is here somenone who can help me????
I have three cdīs from the printer:
the UFRII LT/FAX User Software
the PCL User Software and the e-Manuel.
I think that the firmware and the user support tool isnīt includet in one of them?

Hey Massimo and Brutus, if you need the firmware and the sst PM me your email languageto be in the machines and correct models, since you use euro versions i can help you guys with it, glad to help out
