Re: Canon CLC 3220 Printer Setup Information

    Its has finally worked...

I found an option to reset the printer to factory defaults and entered new information when i ran setup again..

Finally it is printing for now... Thank you to charm5496 and teckat for their wonderful support.. You guys are the best..

Now whats left is to figure out how this thing can print via email.. I see it has that option so why not use it if its there?

Once again thank you Copytechnet for these wonderful people..

    Another problem has arised unfortunatley..

As from the morning the fax refused to work.. The fax-cable is plugged in and nothing happens...

    using (VoIP) ?

Turn off Check Dial Tone Before Sending

    press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
    select COMMUNICATIONS SETTINGS
under FAX SETTINGS select TX SETTINGS
select CHECK DIAL TONE BEFORE SENDING
    set this value to OFF
    press OK

    u have a G3 FAX installed or using I-Fax

First try re-seating the Resolution Switching Board PCB as well as the Fax Board and NCU.

Well, it is not VOIP and im not really sure what G3 fax is, but it a normal/standard Telephone line that branches from a small tiny box on the wall, picture below where one goes to the Telephones and the other connecting to the fax machine ..

It was working fine until this morning where when i switched it on it just would not fax, giving me the error i had specified on the above post....
The other picture is where it is plugged in the printer...

did u run a simple FAX test to another location

    Could be :
    - routing error at your ISP or the recipients ISP
    - the receiving server is rejecting the message
    - the receiving server is not alive
    - the receiving server cannot be connected
    - check for noise (humming, popping, clicking, static, etc.).

Additional Functions and select System Settings
select the option that reads " Restrict Access to Destinations "

enable the use of the fax driver
select Allow Fax Driver TX - "ON" ?

Re: Canon CLC 3220 Printer Setup Information

I checked the destination address restrictions and there are none there...

I plugged in the cable on a smaller "one page a time" fax machine and sent the documents and they were delivered fine.. even sent a test fax to myself and it delivered fine..

Not sure, where the problem is, i checked the logs on System Monitor >> Send and the status of the faxes is "waiting" ..

Usually, when i fax something it will give a tone , then dial the number then some funny tone and the fax is delivered , now its silent.. Only one beep when it gives the error..

I tried googling it but could not see any answers to that solution...

    Edit:
Could it be that the faxing thing needs to be reset on the printer? Im not sure, never set it the first time not that i know how but i just plugged in the cable and was faxing away..

first make sure to follow the C1 install instructions/
pay attention about when to connect the cables

    do u have a G3 Fax in printer ??

    instead of setup.exe
    I would use the
    PCL5e-c_v14.00_INF.exe

    PCL6_v6.90_Win2k-Win7_INF.exe

    Fax_v8.85_INF.exe
Aweah, does anyone have an updated link to these drivers ?

The links don't seem to be working anymore ..
