Schoolboy error - iRC Advance 2030 ITB Belt...

EDIT: Done, just took a lot more force than i like to use on flimsy plastic parts...

Having never removed one, i have no idea how to...

I assumed it was going to be similar to the 1018's drums and just pull the two lever/tab things, but don't want to put too much force on without being certain.

Is there anything i have to undo? This is sort of embarrassing!

    Thanks

Have you tried turning it off and on? No...Oh, it works now!

    Hello

    Open up the side door.

Orientate your body so you are facing the fuser

Look were the hinges are, at the bottom - which attaches the side door to the main body

On there 2 silver tabs, push them in, the door will then lower further and stop, dont force it any further

You will see the ITB, on either side you will see 2 blue access points, gently pull them both toward you

The ITB will slide out on its own course, do not yank it, smooth pulling action required

Whats the issue with the ITB?

    Hope this helps

    V

    Hello,

Have you removed the drum units?

I once had this issue on this series. Using a screw driver, I gave a light tapon the ITB gear in the removing direction and it worked on the first try.

Edit at the top shows I managed to fix it

    Thanks for the replies though.

There wasn't an error, we have a duff machine and someone needed an ITB as a part so we've sold it them.

I think they are flimsy and delicate as well
