Hi, I know it passed few years from them but do you remember how you solved your problem?

what have you done to it?

5 years you can pretty well assume he: 1) didn't get it fixed 2) didn't report back ( pretty common with noobs )

    what have you done?

is it the EXACT same machine?
    exact same problem?

have you tried the suggested fixes?

    Thank you for reply,
I have same Ipf8300, and what I've done so far Is: because I had 2f48 error I changed carriage relay pcb, multisensor, head management sensor and reference plate. I bought 2 used prinheads witch I tested on owner printer and nozzle check was perfect. Now ( after a month of sitting on my desk) I installed printheads and after ~20 mins of replenishing with ink I get 2f42 and asks me to turn off the printer, so I can not print anything in normal mode.
In service mode I can print a nozzle check and is missing one block on R printhead ( see attached photo).
I rechecked and cleaned with alcohol all the flat cables from carriage relay pcb, I cleaned with alcohol the printhead pins and carriage pins, I didn't checked flat cable on mainboard but for sure I'll do that tomorrow.

I don't know what to do, change the mainboard or the printhead. Some people telling to change mainboard, carriage and printheads but to be honest I'm trying to fix this printer from January and I'm tired and out of money so I'm looking for ways to be sure what to change once and forever.

Re: IPF8300 2F42 Nozzle Check Error

    I've found this document http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/at...rvice-part-pdf

and I'm wondering if those cap absorbers can be the cause of my missing block.
    I'm so confused...

those pads absorb the excess ink... they become clogged and crusty is left too long.

    so YES they can...

and the PH caps ( where it meshes with PH in parked position), if they become crusty or compromised can also lead to problems.

Soak the pads in Simple Green cleaner (non-toxic) they blot with paper towels..
also clean the parking caps with it.

fold paper towel to fit channel where PH rides.. wet with Simple Green

move the PH over the pad and leave for a while ( up to 1hr for bad clogs)

remove towel and preform cleaning process on heads.

this has worked on: Canon - Epson - Brother - HP inkjets printer for me ...
been using this process for quite a few years...

    Good Luck

thanks for the tip. I will try it today and come back with results.

I'm wondering if a cleaning with ultrasounds machine is a good idea

Re: IPF8300 2F42 Nozzle Check Error

I cleaned all the caps and printhead but unfortunately I have same problem, doing head cleaning A is returning 2f42, from nozzle check print is missing one block and few lines.
I need to find a way which one is broken, the printhead or main PCB.

Problem is solved now after I've sent the mainboard to a specialised centre to fix it.
    Thank you for all info.
