I haven't seen this copier yet but the customer says that he used the by-pass and hasn't been able to use this copier since. He has reloaded drivers etc...

Main problem is that customer did not read user manual.Usually is conflict between print and by-pass size.

If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself
The default setting on the 1022/1030 series for the bypass is disabled/off. If the customer turned it on/enabled it-so he could use it....either turn it back off or configure it for special paper size other than letter or legal(like envelope com 10) so the machine will pull paper from the cassettes and stop looking for the bypass. Seen this happen(paper size mismatch error) a lot on Hp printers as well.
