    xx=01:Y, xx=02:M, xx=03: C, xx=04:K,

xx85 = Patch image sampling (center) error 1
DISPLAY>DENS>DENS-S-Y/M/C/K (patch image measurement value) - DISPLAY>DENS>D-CRNT-P (dark current measurement
    value) </= 30

Difference between the patch measurement and the dark current measurement is 30 or less in patch detection

    Remedy
    =
    1. After cleaning the Patch Sensor, execute FUNCTION>MISC-P>PT-LPADJ.
Select DISPLAY>DENS>PCH-LED2, and check the value of PCH-LED2 (1).

    2. After removing the Patch Sensor Shutter, execute FUNCTION>MISC-P>PT-LPADJ.
Select DISPLAY>DENS>PCH-LED2, and check the value of PCH-LED2 (2).

    3. If (1) is more than 240 and (2) is between 80 and 240, replace the shutter and solenoid. Then,
execute PT-LPADJ again. If the value is between 80 and 240, complete the remedy. If not, go to step 4.

    4. After replacing the Patch Sensor, execute PT-LPADJ. If the value is between 80 and 240, complete the
    remedy.

There are several things that can cause E020’s; ATR Sensor, Patch Detection Sensors, weak Developer, DC Controller and Drum Unit.

Some simple trouble shooting can help you isolate the problem.

    1. If possible make 20 color copies to force the ATR sensor to take readings. Then compare the SGNL reading for the color that is generating the error and additional colors in Service Mode; COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M/K with the Initialization setting in COPIER>ADJUST>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M/K.

COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M/K arethe ATR Sensor readings of the Developer in its present condition and should be within +/- 50 of the Initialization settings.

COPIER>ADJUST>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M/K arethe Initialization settings that the copier maintains and are located on the door sheet.

    2. If the Initialization setting is not the same as the door sheet, be sure to enter the correct value and replace the Developer Unit.

    3. If the ATR Sensor reading is over +/-50 of the Initialization setting; the ATR Sensor, Patch Detection Sensors, Drum Unit and DC Controller are suspect.

Check the status of the Drum Unit under COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>PT-DRM. The Patch Detection Sensors looks at patches of toner that are generated on the drum for each color and determines the amount of toner that is in each patch by the amount of reflected light. If the drum is not creating these patches correctly, the patch readings will be affected. Replace the Drum Unit if it is close to or over 100% of its rated life.
If the Drum Unit is not close to or over its rated life, replace the ATR Sensor and Patch Detection Sensors. If the error continues replace the DC Controller.

    5. If over toning continues to occur the Developing Clutch (CL1) may be sticking and need to be replaced.

Re: error code image press c1

Hola teckat, a mi tambien me esta pasando lo mismo con una maquina y quisiera profundizar en el tema.
    he realizado lo siguiente:

    cambio de kit cables (FM2-2615.000).
cambio de unidad de sensor de cuadros completa (FM2-2494-000).

Ademas he retirado del sensor de cuadros el obturador de dicho sensor (FL2-2710-000).

    He realizado:
FUCTION/ DPC / DRM RST varias veces.
    FUCTION /MISP-P / PT-LPADJ.

    PCH LED 1 = 240
    PCH LED 2 = 197
    PCH LED 3 = 195

    EJEMPLO:

    {DENS}
    DGNL-Y 497
    DGNL-C 430
    DGNL-M 400
    DGNL-B 453..

    P-sens-p =0, p-sens-s = 0 check sensor ps7 (check cable).
