also I have a hard drive pulled from a 3320i that is working. is this the same software as the 3300N? if so, I am just going to swap the drive.

Go into service mode,DISPLAY/VERSION...look for the boot...it will have an N or a C. 3320 has meap. Completely different firmware. You need 3300N firmware

    FG3-1743-000 is a C Boot Rom

    FG3-1750-000 is a N Boot Rom / I believe

There is a further issue beyond just switching Boot Rom's on these machines to make them work one way or the other. Each has its own system software and you need the correct system software loaded along with the correct boot rom to make the machine operational.

Yes, I'm aware. I have flashed these many times, but I just wasn't for sure the one bootrom I had was the "N" version. Either way, ended up not having to install. Customer has two of these and only one had print. They wanted both to print because they were going to do a print job. I then found out it was 130,000 prints. They have decided to outsource, thank goodness. I've had these models doing 25k per month, but not 70k in two weeks. lol

Its posibble to flash a "C" to "N" on the fly without removing screw.
