    canon ir3030 FTB scanning instead of SMB scan to folder, can?

    due to the company security, they will change their pc password every 3 months
    its impossible for me to go over to re-key the password for the machine every months
    isn't possible to setting FTB scan instead of SMB scan to folder for CANON IR3030 ?
    if can, where to get the scanner driver and the scanning software?
    as in ricoh, they provide twain driver and desktop binder
    thanks for the reply~

    If the customer uses FTP Print, add a Username and Password to increase security under System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > FTP Print.

    =============;

    On All imageRUNNER-iR Series and All Color Enabled imageRUNNER Models the FTP printer server is activated by:

    1. Press the Additional Functions button

    2. Select System Settings.

    3. Select Network Settings.

    4. Select TCP/IP Settings.

    5. Select FTP Print Settings.

    6. Turn FTP printing On, and enter the user name and password you will be using for authentication. Then press OK.

    7. Select Use PASV Mode for FTP.

    8. Turn on the Use PASV Mode for FTP option. Then press ok and restart the printer.

    hi,

    interesting post, have a customer in a similar position that passwords change every few months, then log a calll for not scanning. So if use the above fix of turning PASV on, that will still allow them to scan even though the passwords change every 3 months or so? does that bypass the password change??
