I heard canon have started to discontinue parts for this model, same as I can imagine them chugging along for another 15 years!

What happens is that the registration clutch does not sunchronise the movement
of the paper due rust.Try remove the clutch and clean it.

Lots of of fun to get at that clutch... Make sure that the transport assembly is camming up properly and the transfer roller can turn freely. Is the lead edge of the image registered properly on the paper? If so problem is in transport/transfer area. I would look closely in this area. Cheat the front cover(interlock and fixing film engagement) and watch what it does.Best tool for troubleshooting.....eyes. Yeah 330 and 400 used to have transfer roll pop out

I am assuming the paper is being sharply creased before the transfer of the image.
I have seen some machines do this when the buckle adjustment is set to high.
I don't recall seeing a buckle adjust for this model. I would check the registration setting
under Adjust. If set to high it could cause the paper to fold and then get creased by
    the registration roller.
Also check and make sure the paper settings for the drawers are correct.

Thats the clutch i was thinking of...been a long time since I played with one of these!!!! Try cleaning it with alcohol. Clutch is probably sticking, still driving the paper, causing a massive buckle while paper is paused at reg roll
