    Complying with Data Clearing Standards

    Hi
Can anyone help on this one im wondering how you canon guys in the usa comply with
    us data clearing standards 5220,22m
do you have to replace the hdd and install new firmware

or clear the hdd input dummy data the clear again
or do you use any other system to comply with the standard

having read the standard as far as i can see it only recommends data clearing
can anyone help with advise on this

Not from the US, but our customers have the option of paying for the service and keeping the hard drive.
