The available sorting features of the imageRUNNER 1600 / 2000 / 2010F when copying off the glass
Unlike analog machines which use a 'Sorter Unit' or a 'Stapler Sorter Unit' in order to separate sets of copied output into a number of trays, digital machines such as the imageRUNNER 1600 / 2000 / 2010F will be able to store the originals into its memory and sort the originals into collated sets of copies.
These machines will be restricted to perform certain sorts depending on the configuration of the machine. With either the stand-alone unit with no optional accessories or with just the Inner 2-Way Tray-B1 installed, the user will be able to output rotated sets of copies or prints when the papers in the drawers are aligned correctly.
With the Finisher-L1 installed, additional sorting features are available for the imageRUNNER 1600 / 2000 / 2010F units that include outputting shifted sets or stapled sets of copies or prints. These are convenient features allowing the user to distinctly separate sets of copies or prints for easier distribution of documents.
The chart below shows the sorting features available with the different configurations of the imageRUNNER 1600 / 2000 / 2010F.
