    Paper jam, open Left Cover

    Hello,
Can anyone suggest further actions I should take. I am working on a Canon IR2016J. After I serviced the machine the above indication appears: "Paper Jam Open Left Cover". I have checked the sensors in Bypass and Fusing section. The cables connecting the door to the DC board are in perfect condition as well. Can anyone suggest something else I should check?

    Thank you

    Andy

When you close the lower left door it depresses the same sensor that's used for the tray 2 pickup. If you open it there'll be a white long piece, You'll need to clean that especially the back piece. If you move it up and down you'll see the sensor flag pop up and down. Usually just a good cleaning, lubing should take care of this.2020_door_jam.jpg

You could also remove the lower cover on the back, assuming there's 2 trays, and disconnect the lower feed assembly and isolate it to either the top or bottom

    Hi guys,
My issue got solved. There was a problem with delivery sensor. But I got it fixed, but the machine just starts running copies from tray 1 as soon as it finishes booting. Any suggestions?.

Sticky solenoid in the paper pickup assembly would cause that
