You think it's a problem with the UFR driver? Very strange that is feeds the COM if you do a copy but not for print. I hope Canon is aware of this issue.

Re: "Load Paper" When trying to print #10 envelopes from MS Word on C2230

This has to be a Word-Canon compatibility issue. What strikes me as odd though is that the custom paper size option on the machine specifies a minimum short side (x) as 5.5" when set vertically in the MP tray, yet the machine is supposed to accept COM10 which has a short side of 4.13". Why can you only specify a 5.5" short side minimum entering a custom size? The only way to mimic the COM10 size using the custom size feature is by swapping the short and long side values and feeding the envelope horizontally which is not recommended unless the optional inner finisher is installed.

Doesn't this inconsistency seem odd? If the custom size short side minimum is greater that the COM10 short size then why would the machine accept COM10 at all through the MP tray? My guess is the machine doesn't take the size when set vertically in the MP tray despite suggesting it. However, the machine does accept the COM10 vertically through the MP tray using the copy function. I did not check to see if the custom size minimum values are different when copying.

This is just a very odd anomaly. It's very frustrating when you have a high end machine that can't accommodate a common paper size. I have to print the COM10 envelopes in the LBP7780Cdn when I should be able to print them in the C2230 as well. It's the same driver for goodness sake!

This is a fairly new model. With all the experts here somebody must have a legitimate explanation.

You are not using the Canon irac2230 driver? Install it.The clbp is just to run a stupid little printer and this is also an advanced box. The core of the driver is similar but the 2230 has features that the other doesnt. There are differences. Install the proper driver then go from there. This should have been step 1 to eliminate the possibility. If it still doesn't work....WORD,WORD,WORD,WORD....something is not set right. I have tons of customers that print COM10 envelopes on these machines all the time. What version of Word? Don't blame the machine. I've been down this path..............personally i'm done with this thread...lol

My last input..make sure there is not a conflict between machine and Word if machine is set to run envelopes at plain speed(to avoid creases). Shouldn't cause an issue but....also if it will print other orientation but image is out 90 degrees....fix it in WORD....WORD. Good luck

Definately a driver issue. Installed the C5235 driver and printed envelope perfectly. Thanks.
