    Canon IR3245 Processing data

    Hey Folks,

Somebody can help me, I have a canon IR3245 that when receiving a print command, turn on the light processing data and printing does not come out, the machine hangs and need to restart it. It happens intermittently and flashing and using different PCs to print. I'm using kit pcl / ps printer driver. I've changed the HD and reinstalled the system of the machine. Any idea what might be the problem.
    Thanks

Sounds like a driver issue to me. Have you tried printing from different PC's (if the driver is installed on the server install it locally on a few PC's to test). If you experience the same issue from all PC's then try using a different driver. Also is it a particular application you are experiencing the issue from? Try narrowing the scope down of all the variables this might help point you in the right direction when troubleshooting. If you plug your laptop into the machine using a crossover cable are you able to reproduce the problem?

Hope this helps start you off

UFRII driver, try it love it, you'll never even consider PCL/PS after the fact. That and all canon's come standard with it and NOT PCL/PS unless you've got a PS/PCL print kit.

    Re: Canon IR3245 Processing data

Could it be the [security] settings in the machine restricting the print jobs?
Try this and see if it helps:
    1) Press Additional Functions key > [System settings] > [Restrict printer jobs]
2)Select [on] or [off] > Press [OK]
    Details:
[on] = Restricts jobs from printer drivers; jobs can only be stored in user boxes.
[off] = There are no restricted jobs for printer drivers; jobs can be stored in user in boxes and\or can be printed.

NB: You may need to select [off] and then press [OK], then try to send a print job to the machine.

    Good Luck.

    Re: Canon IR3245 Processing data

Hello, thanks to everyone who answered my topic so far.
Even with a straight windows test page with the UFRII driver it shows processing?
The defect occurs intermittently with various types of files. Doc,. Pdf, etc.. With the test page also locks the windows, but as said intermittently.
Could it be the [security] settings in the machine restricting the print jobs?
The security is in OFF Print Jobs. The printer is disabled with ID.
I am at least 02 devices in this situation. Folks, I need more tips.

    Re: Canon IR3245 Processing data

I have this issue once with an iRAdv C2020, when printing large files its shows receiving-processing......no end.
Ask the authorized service center they said you must replace the MAIN CONTROLLER BOARD, this is silly because the machine has just 2000+ on the meter.
I have try this and it works : DISABLE IMAGE PROCESSING.
    On the IR3245 : COPIER > OPTION > BODY > RAW-DATA SET TO 1 (level 2).
Hope it works on the machine, good luck.
