Check Magenta transfer roll in ITB unit (or swap unit for another) if ok swap magenta and cyan laser unit to diagnose problem.

No Magenta Developed on the Drum, ITB or Paper
I can see no MANGETA on paper test print/ did u check if MAGENTA is on ITB ??--
REMOVE COVER by ITB UNIT>LOOK IN during PG10 TEST
* Drum ground tab - Check and clean the drum ground tab located inside the front drum access cover.
* Developer drive motor - Test for motor operation in service mode: Copier/Function/Part-Chk/Mtr, Y=18, M=19,C=20,K=21
* Re-seat connector J103 on DC Controller 2 Maisy pcb - (provides signals to developer motors), then run motor test again.
Test Magenta laser by swapping the Black and Magenta Laser Harness which connects to the laser units.
With the harness swapped the Black Image should be lost. / that confirms MAGENTA LASER is GOOD
Replace DC Controller #1 if that test is confirmed ??

I had a similar issue, however mine was black. No error codes involved. The image would fluctuate, and eventually weaken. Turned out to be the laser. Sounds similar to my situation.
some newer posted reply's are missing/ from web site issue other day
poster replied that M Laser was replaced for fix

I would agree with the poster about replacing the the M laser, BTW, only last week I had exactly the same issue of magenta fading gradually until it eventually disappeared altogether from the printed copies. The machine? Not a canon color copier, but a HP LJ 2600n. The solution was simple, no need to replace the M laser; Simply removed the laser unit from the machine, opened the top cover and thoroughly cleaned the optics especially the reflecting mirror for the magenta, and the imaging lenses with a lint free cotton swab; I also did blowing off the dust in the unit. I took sometime doing the work, very carefully though considering it is a precision part. I also cleaned the ITB.
I was surprised with the resultant excellent prints after re-assembling. Somehow dust (and moisture?) seem to have found its way into the laser unit. Talk of trying 'to do something' before considering a replacement laser.
Well, that was an HP printer, for a canon, the story could be different.
The magenta mirrors become more dirty in time because under the toner M cartridge is a Cooler that cause that, suction dust and other impurities.Common manifestation on Canon LBP 5000,HP LJ 1600.Unfortunatly is a hard work reaching and clean the laser unit
Have you done a full auto gradations? Do it on all paper weights. I think a clc5151 is like an irc5185 here. Not sure. If so, I've seen drum motors go bad...lose magenta, especially heavy..
