    imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020 / C2030

Measure to Prevent Wrinkling on Envelopes on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 Series.

Envelopes being fed from the Stack Bypass Tray require the envelopes to be fed Landscape (long length) and the flaps facing up since the "writing" occurs on the bottom of the sheet when fed from the Bypass Tray. The flaps can stick up and causing jamming.

There is a Measure available for the Stack Bypass Tray to feed envelopes "Portrait" where the long length of the envelope becomes the width on the Stack Bypass Tray.
This method feeds the envelopes through the machine more efficient and possibly reduce jamming.

However, this method ONLY works with a device that DOES NOT HAVE AN INNER FINISHER!

Anything but standard page sizes, will only print through the bypass as if the paper was set to short feed even though it is not and the paper size is set within range. Again, this sucks when trying to print envelopes and you want the flap side to go in first to avoid creasing. You can configure it this way in the driver, but the machine will only print in the short feed orientation even though it will pass the paper through the long feed. Very annoying.
not trying to be awkward, but are you using the envelope attachement when loading the envelopes into the bypass tray? and are you setting the correct size on the display? (just for confirmation and information gathering, this is usful information should I encounter this in the future as it has not come up yet with any customers we have)

    Yes. Definitely a driver issue.
