iR 5075 E0001-0001 after replacing Fixing roller

    Hello,

Before few days I see damage on upper fixing roller and I'm changing roller, bearing and bushing. After assembling unit and put in device I receive error code E840-0001
After that I simple cleaning all and re-assembling all and put back. Now I receive code E0001-0001. On my first look THM don't see pretty nice. I'm ordered new one THM1-3 but I want to know if there is some other reason for this error code ? For any case I'm also ordered new Fixing assembly for backup. Tbx

    P.S.

    sorry for bad English

E840-0001 was probably caused by the Shutter Sensor being damaged by the Thrust Retainer when the Hot Roller BEARING/BUSHING collapsed, replace the Shutter Sensor (PS53) FK2-0149-000 & ensure the Sensor Bracket is located correctly, also check the Shutter Assy turns freely using your finger - if not the Shutter may be twisted but can be manually realigned.
E0001-0001 could be a byproduct of the above error however try resetting the error 1st - SRV MODE > FUNCTION > CLEAR > ERR.
Depending on the life of Thermistors, replacing them would help.
Replacing the entire Fixing Assy with a new one is expensive & unnecessary.

    Hello,

I guess that the shutter and its driving gears are not well assembled. There is a procedure in the service manual.

Did you lock the shutter drive gears in position before you took it apart?

Sync the shutter gears properly and it will fix everything probably...if it chances to get by e840,can't heat roller properly with shutter in the way..induction heating..generates an E001 or associated...read the book on this one when working on these for the first time

There's a pin on both side that's held in with a black screw. You must get in the habit of removing them and flipping them so that they lock the shutter cam position in place. You must also NOT reuse the thrust bearing clips and ensure that there is no grease from the bushings. Other than that that's the only issues I've had with the e840. E001 clear it if no dice then There is an error or an open circuit in the main thermistor, shutter thermistor, or sub thermistor.

Re: iR 5075 E0001-0001 after replacing Fixing roller

All steps for replacement are respected. Fixing unit have approximately 1M copies. I'm ordered also all new parts 2 roller, bearings, bushings, THM1-3, Shutter parts and new one fixing assm. I have few same models and one brand new in reserve is good. All bearings and gears to turn easily and are not damaged. Position the right and Shuter sensor is correct. Does the PCB has some fuses (It would be logical to have), and that is his position. I do not have electrical schematics, can only follow that wire to see where going and this requires a lot of time, which unfortunately I do not have. It seems that this copier have heavy duty service now. Thank you all for your help

thrust retaining clips or the shutter is install 180 degrees out of wack if the thermistor doesn't fix it. If you have another complete fuser to try you can pinpoint electrical versus a 20 dollar part immediately.

    Hi,

Replace the whole upper fixing unit and get rid of your troubles. The part number is: FM2-9733-000000.
