Are you talking about a thick black line on your copies???
OK so have you tried all the basic checks?
Make sure there is nothing on the glass, make sure you clean the ADF Scanning lens glass,...
Do you know if it does this only on prints or only on copying or on all uses of copier??
If is when making copies, is it when you use the Document feeder only or when you make any copy?
These particular facts will help in determining what might be wrong.
Well if its both when you copy and when you print,
it is probably a bad (or going bad) drum unit.
You will need to get a replacement drum and try that.
