E020-1x60 may occur immediately after replacing the drum unit.

Cause
The laser scanner unit is assembled in a clean room so that no dust can get inside which causes faulty images. In addition, the seams of the housing are sealed up to shut out dust from the operation environment.
However, small particles of 1 micrometer or less may invade the inside of the machine depending upon the operation environment and the invaded small particles may soil the polygon mirror. This soiling diminishes the laser intensity that leads to the above mentioned symptom.
