Canon ir3235 not fusing on heavy paper

Have a funeral home that runs some 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 cards from the cassette. Have the temperature set as high as it will go and the fusing is not that great (duplex). It pulls some on the toner off the page. If you run it thru the bypass it is OK because you can tell it you are using heavy paper then you have to run the other side, is there a setting some way to the machine you are using a heavy paper from the cassette? Or at least slow the machine down when using the heavy paper from the cassette?

    Thanks

Most likely you are running the machine out of spec.

common settings, set paper type. I don't have a unit in front of me if it's on the machine that's where it'll be

It is in common settings under store paper type. Not sure how many options it gives you.
