    Canon IR Advance C9280 E000075-0002 E000302-0001

Can anyone help me with a Canon IR Advance C9280 with error codes E000075-0002 and E000302-0001. For the E000302-0001 error we tried reseating the connections on the reader controller and the reader under the glass. Still had the same error so we sent the reader controller and the reader into NWRS and they both tested good.

You could start by cleaning the scanner (optics) and perform Whilelevel adjust under Function> CCD.
I got 2 working recently by doing that.
    They were in dusty environment.
Next : try RCON clear after doing a Reader backup
If none of those work, Your flex Cable may be faulty ( I have seen them go bad)
Oh yeah, BEWARE, TIE WRAP problems are back, on the 72/92/62/82 series.
if nothing else works cut tie wraps

I had an issue with the original C7065 model that would show e302. Turned out Canon had modified the springs that are part of the duplex scanner glass. When you take the front cover off the white mount that the glass slides into had a spring problem. It looked okay to me, but I think it was getting stuck when it tried to move it to read the white-plate to check shading.

Anyway, I cleaned it all up and replaced the spring...not sure if a good cleaning fixed or not. Take the back cover off as well on the ADF and clean the boards with a can of air.

Also, point to note - customer had the machine jammed up against the wall (as usual). I find this causes a lot of random errors.
