E007 iR4570 tearing films

I have several iR4570's and iR3045's tearing fixing films.

Has anyone else had this issue? These machines all tear films when there is a high volume usage as is in a school environment.

I have replaced the film units, and they last a couple hours, I have even replaced the complete fuser ass'y, twice in one iR4570, and once in another and it still happens.

I even have films tearing within 1 month of the machines installation. These 4 affected machines are all at different offices, so it's not a user issue.

Canon says no one else is having this problem.

I have 4 of these that I cannot keep running economically, and no one can give an explanation. I have dozens of iR2016/2020, iR2270's in the field that are no problem, so its not something I am doing wrong. I am a seasoned tech with about 20 years experience.

I have never come across to a particular case with this model, but with other models like the iR2016, the fault will usually arise when operated from a surface tha is not level. A floor tilted to a very slight angle can cause this, so check this first, you can try moving the equipments to different locations, wish u luck.

i second the motion songela this is also what happened to me, just relocate the machine or level the platform to eliminate the inclination of the unit.

I have not seen one of these tear either he have alot of them in the field..only thing comes to mind like on the 3300 series the cleaning roller needs to be replace witch I am sure you have done... If you find out what it is please pass it on to us...

Songela is oh so right. These machines MUST sit level with absolutly no twist to the frame. In other words it can't sit on a poorly laid floor (no humps or dips in the floor.

Fuser Ass'y Complete iR4570 120V FM3-1293-000 (replaces Old P# FM2-1786-000)

I cant help but wonder why the fuser ass'y changed part #... as well as the pressure roller is a different color than the original ones that were in the iR4570's, and the fixing film assy changed part # as well. what did they try to improve? The only thing I see changed was the price, it went up.

The new films are bad . We were asked in a meeting if we notice the films tearing ,I belive the brown films . Anyways yes they tear , yes they new stock is bad and I think the katun film is what some of the guys are using now with good results . In fact my next call tomorrow is for jamming and e007 . You guys can level if you want but that aint fixing nothing.

That is why you have still a back job for fixing films and jamming. common jockey i have 12 units of this model never use Katun film and the color does not do nothing, its the material. copy 200K without replacing fixing units.
