    COPIER>ADJUST>COLOR>ADJ-Y/M/C/K
Adjustment of color balance in Y/M/C/K provided for users
When the output density varies due to the machine difference, change the default value of color balance.
    Adjustment range: -8 to +8
    Method of Adjustment
Increase the value to increase density.
Decrease the value to decrease density.
[Factory setting value / Value after execution of RAM clear: 0]

    OFST-Y/M/C/K
Adjustment of bright section density and color balance in Y
    Adjustment range: -32 to +32
    Method of Adjustment
When the document base cannot be read correctly, offset the color balance in the bright section. Increase the value to
increase density. Decrease the value to decrease density.
When removal of the base was not performed correctly and the image looks like a fogging image, decrease the value until
    the fogging image disappears.

the density adjustment on all four colors set to -8 solved this puzzle.
    Thankx Teckat.
now to solve the last one, getting spotting of stray toner on first 6 to 8 prints after the auto gradation adjustment.

Try an ITB cleaning or "clean inside main unit".

I would pull out the ITB UNIT> remove both the metal underside plates> look at underside & clean if necessary

Another place to look, while u have the ITB UNIT out, is to remove all Drums & Toner units> slide out Fix Unit> slide out manual feed unit>Remove Cleaning Blade unit (vacuum it out) now look into that area where cleaning blade slides into > u will probably see waste toner sitting on rail ( either vacuum out- or spread paper on bottom area> and wipe clean with a damp cloth

the reason to slide out fix unit & manual unit & cover bottom of area under the cleaning unit rail> is because if and when u vacuum or wipe rail>some of that waste will fall off> and may cause a mess

Removed ITB and drums laid paper down and cleaned, (I do this regularly, except for laying the paper down, I will do that from now on) There was a pileup on the scoop up sheet, everything else was normal, also installed new cleaning blade.
The plates on bottom of ITB unit were removed long ago.
    Results
clean sheets after the first auto grad adj. that happens every 200 prints, (100 sheets), got the spotting happening after 2nd, 3rd, and 4th auto grad.
the spotting is very light on first 4 sheets on the trail end of side two, so as the sheet exits on top side, left side, and the next 192 prints are perfect again.
Here is where the problem is, discovered it after paper jamb,
every time I push the fixer unit in, there is toner dropping onto the secondary transfer roller, from the scoop up tray, why am I getting a pileup on scoop up tray?

Scoop-up sheet: = used to prevent fall of toner.
one reason is that scoop sheet is or has become warped/ pain to replace

When u take out the cleaning blade/ don't forget to spread paper on bottom /
now remove screw holding in screw auger unit-- then remove auger unit---it will drop waste down onto paper (messy)---check for a broken gear in auger

hopefully your waste feed screw is not damaged / or gear that drives is damaged
another thing a pain to replace> > did u clean / inspect it
    waste.JPG

are u getting waste toner into your waste bottle
hope so/ because if u need to remove that Toner Container Drive Unit/ u are looking at 4 hrs of work

cleaned the scoop up tray and waste toner screw, re installed, after first two auto gradations, no spatter, wil see .
Now to understand the function of the scoop up, is it there for any overflow from the waste toner screw?

    ----------------------------

it's supposed to prevent residual waste that drops from cleaning blade unit
/ not from waste screw auger

(was told by Canon wiseguy >static build up from cleaning blade contacting ITB causes this residual drop> and when customers use massive amount of toner coverage on paper)
