My ir adv c2020i gives an error message "the paper is jammed" when you try to print from tray 1. Yet there is no paper that is jammed.
I suspect a sensor problem but not sure.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks

either bad pickup tires. settings/registration, 2+8, settings/registration > Classic > Copier > Display > Jam
give us what's listed there we'll tell you what to change.
==================
"the paper is jammed"
check PS14 /Cassette 1 Paper Level Sensor
Cassette 1
There are 2 sensors to detect the paper level and paper presence in the cassette.
The paper level is displayed in three levels in the Control Panel.
what does it show on panel
check/post the jam code in history----?
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
your screen will change, settings, 2+8 at the same time, settings registration again. may take u a bit a=if you arent used to it, other than rds its the only way to see the jam code
0105 is usually pickup roller tray 1, don't know why it's not a 0101 but it is what it is.
0102 is delay jam out of tray 2.
I'd try a set of pickup rollers.
test print from cassette 2 if it prints - you can bet your best friends hot moma that its those rubbish and I say that nicely cassette 1 paper pick combination, seriously poor design there;
Take the feed roller out, dead easy, just push one way out it will come; I bet only 10% wear on the one area, simply move the rubber around so it has some good tread, until you can get a spare in
Rubbish machines designed and built by Bob the builder and Thomas the tank Engine....
