    iR2520/2525

    Hi All

I am having an issue with an couple of iR2525 and 2520's. We have had some unstable power here and on arrival at the machine, we are confronted by a machine with only the pilot light on (green LED on the display). We have removed the DIm and re-inserted, I have also replaced the main controllers, but still no joy. Incidently I have the correct part number for the serial numbers concerned. After replacing the main controller on the iR2525 the machine powers off on its own and I have noticed that the power swith has an extra connector which connected to the engine control PCB. Could this fault be linked to the engine control PCB? Or has anyone else experienced this issue and many have a solution. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    William

    Hello,

Read the attachment to find the right part number:

    Copy of Lot6 Compliant Copier_IR25XX (2).pdf

    I hope it will help.

    Power Supply Issue/
have u check for proper voltages at outlets

check if 3.3v is present on J8125 pin 3 of the Main Controller.

    +++++++

The display is blank and the green led on the control panel is lit.

If this issue occurs, check connectors J210 on the DC Controller and J8112 on the Main Controller. If one of the connectors is not seated properly there will only be 3 volts output from the Power Supply.

    Hi Teckat

Thanks for the info. I have reseated all connectors. The problem is that if I turn the machine on the power switch trips. I have disconnected J230 on the DC Controller and the switch remains on. I have checked the power supply and have on output. do you suspect the power supply?

    Morning Teckat

J230 is on the engine control PCB, this connects to the POwer supply and the main switch.

    Hi Teckat and Rachid

Thank you for your efforts. I went back to the begining. As per the PDf from Rachid, I was using the incorrect PCB, sorry for mis-quoting in my original post. This certainly mis-lead Teckat with your information. For this I apologise. I have, however come to find that the problem I was having was with the Dimm Ass'Y. I re-installed the old main controller and replaced Dimm from another machine and I now have a working machine. Thank you again.
