    iRC3200 Continuous Warm-up

I have an iRC3200 that keeps cycling and cycling; saying that it's warming up. It will briefly pause after a while and start right back up again. I have checked the temps in service mode and it never gets above 194 while cycling. I have swapped in a another fixing unit and had the same result. Some kind of "calibration value" so the thermistors' electrical value is properly calculated into degrees Celsius gone bad?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have now installed the original fixing unit from the trouble machine into another iRC3200 and it runs fine. So, thermistors, heat rods, etc. all fine. I think it has to be a setting thing or maybe a short somewhere.

There are a few things that can cause this symptom.

-------'-------Remove the Delivery Vertical Path Unit on the left side of the machine. You will see a photo sensor PS5 Fixing Feeder Unit Open/Close Sensor sandwiched between two microsensors that actuate when closing the Fixing Feeder Unit. Clean that photo sensor as it fills up with dirt and dust. You may also experience an E004 0002 in the error history.

Enter into service mode, display density. One of the toner windows will display -4.75 and the others will display 0. The one at -4.75 has a bad toner add motor and needs to be replaced
Also? ? How old are the DRUMS ??
    +++++to add on=
Try to reseat all the connections and DIMMs on the Main Controller. If reseating the connections fails to resolve this issue you may have to replace the Memory

Awesome, teckat thank you for your guidance. I cleaned the Fixing Feeder Unit Open/Close Sensor. Still continuous warm-up. CYM drums are less than 100, K is 138. CMY toner motors are at 0 but, K is at -3.74. I'm thinking that's close enough to indicate K toner motor has a problem; is that what you'd think?

Does it have a finisher? If so remove the staple cartridge and try to boot up. If not clean and reseat sub boards in main cage...RAM clear???. Reseat the plugs on the fuse pcb also

yeah/ check that finisher issue posted by Canuck

Check in service mode, * 2 & 8 *, under Copier > display > Dens. Look at the value for each individual color. The normal value would be between zero and one. If you have a color with a value around four or five you have an issue with the toner/starter concentration level for that color.

check in service mode for any ERROR CODES

No finisher installed on machine. Reseated sub boards and blew out a ton of dust in main controller and reseated plugs on fuse pcb. Installed toner add motor, still get same density issue -3.xx%. Still continuous warm-up. The most recent error code listed is E716 0000, the next few lines are E020 04D0 and E020 01B0. Have looked a bit but can't find... How do I clear ram? Is it r-con or dc-con?

    -----------;-\
    Don't do any clear yet

E716 is a Cassette Feed Unit / Pedestal communication error.

    Re: iRC3200 Continuous Warm-up

I have seen this a few times now, the key is to look at the DENS levels for each drum, if one is, (as teckat said) has a -4/5% then that drum is your problem, usually it’s a broken toner cartridge shutter, simply fit a NEW toner cartridge, & it must be a brand new one that has never been used, then the machine will automatically add toner & will become ready.
If you don’t have a new toner take out the drum & toner cartridge & “manually” add some toner to the drum, then you’ll see when you fit them back the DENS will be return to normal around 0% & the machine will print. But the fault will return so you’ll need to investigate why the DENS drops on that one drum.
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

    Hello

Try initialization to set all the values to their default and then check

    Thanks
