Canon iR 2520 network problem driver installation failed

Hello,

I have a Canon iR 2520 with an additional cassette module W1.
Copying works great but i want to print over the network.

I’m using the ufr II driver 21.20 but the printer is not present and cannot be found from the installation software (automatic or manual installation).
My Setup: Windows Clients (XP, Win 7, Win8) IP Address assigned by DHCP
Router IP: 192.168.0.3
iR 2520 IP: 192.168.0.8 (static)
Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Ping from Windows PC to Copier: ok
Ping from Copier to Windows PC: ok
Printing with usb cable from a laptop (ufr II driver 21.20): ok
I also tried a different switch and direct connection with a crossover cable, deactivated the windows firewall, but no success.

I don’t know why but scanning over network with canon scangear 2.71 works .
The copier is present and the scan software shows the ip address.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Can you check if the ip 192.168.0.8 is really free?
You can try to install directly with a crossover cable and a laptop, so you can avoid possible network problems.

When I face this problem.I have changed to manual install.So its work fine.

usually I don't use ping - instead I open a browser and insert the ip. If the connection is done than physically everything is ok.

But ping is the same , so if you can ping it means physically is connected.

I would try another driver version.

Is this first installation ( out of box) or the machine has been networked before ?

it happend with me the same problem and i changed the driver to the latest version and it works ,also it made me mad this problem cos it was workin on pc's and on other pc's not also there was a ping and everything so i changed the driver and works fine .

I can access the Remote UI without problems in the browser.
And yes this is the first network installation. The copier is 6 months old.

when u open RUI on PC can u see (View the machine status) for the 2520

So u did the Manual Network set up on 2520

& under the UFR II/LT Driver it does not show 2520 as option to print
The printer name displayed in the printer driver screen is changed by settings in the printers
folder.

REMOVE UFRII/LT Driver and re-install it

Best way to print from Network is to create a TCP/IP Port with the printers IP address.
So when you start Add Printers, turn off automatic detection, Next Create New Port, Standard TCP/IP port and fill the machine's IP address.
Next choose the printer model and Finish.
