    streaks on c5180

this seems to only happen when using full color. even a plain black and white page in full color mode makes the same smudges on the copy. if you do only black and white the copys come through perfect.i changed the black drum thinking that was the problem no change. the fuser was replaced about two months back. i did a full color adjustment and that did not help either. replaced the itb cleaner assembly with no help either. thanks

if the Intermediate Transfer Belt Cover (Figure 530, Item 7 in Parts Catalog) gets bent upward towards the belt, and over time the belt stretches, the belt is able to scrape/rub on the belt cover, causing streaks/scrape marks on the output.

    :-D
Repair or replace the belt cover (FC6-8870-000) and install new IT Belt (FC7-0091-000).

I would remove ITB, then remove that large metal belt cover, & clean underside, if bent, u need to replace it-- they never bend back to form.
