Can cause Light Prints (including in solid black area) (or overall )

AC constant voltage control: fuzzy by environment sensor
DC constant current control: on/off control only

I was told on a Toshiba training course that pre transfer removes any static charges from the paper prior to the copy process.

    pre-transfer charging control system:
    1. controlling the constant current level of the DC bias
    2. controlling the fixed voltage level of the AC bias
    3. controlling the output to suit the environment (fuzzy control)/The pre-transfer charging current is optimized to suit the environment (i.e., reading of the environment sensor):

Simply speaking...the pre-transfer loosens up the toner "latent" image on the drum before it is transferred to the paper by the transfer corona/ETB assembly. The AC component of it equalizes the charge of the image before transfer, just like separation AC removes charge on paper before fusing

From a practical point of view, the blocks probably shorted out, and the tech didn't have the part on-hand. So he removed the shorted unit, and left it that way. I can't explain why he would have left it that way. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

thankyou for your replies. and i want to ask, why my machine only gives about 15,000 sheets (for 1 kilogram toner) yields (almost only text ? what settings that i must check ?

    -------------------

Canon standard for testing & posting toner usage\coverage yield volume is _
5%>6% text coverage on letter size.
