I have a client with an old 4570 that wants the finisher removed. Is there anything we should be aware of when removing the finisher?
I believe it is a q3 finisher.
Thanks

Yes when you fit the buffer bypass you remove three parts, these will need to be replaced.
FC5-0798-000 FLAG, FULL DETECT
FC5-0889-000 COVER, BLANKING
FC5-0957-000 CAP, INTERNAL PAPER DELIVERY
When you think you have made a procedure idiot proof your company employs a better idiot.
So we can't just remove the finisher without adding those parts?
Anything need changing in service mode?
Thanks

You can remove the finisher and leave the buffer in place.
In service mode > option > acc > in-tray set this to a one.
Reboot machine and in additional functions > common settings > paper output you can select copies, prints etc to come out on the buffer.
