"ADD TONER" Light will not go away,Canon IR3235

The copier ran out of toner and there was none on site. So they kept shutting it off and on, to make copies. I installed the new toner bottle and manually added toner thru the service program,because it wouldn't do it automatically. Toner / Install. Then it says OK. It runs for a while and comes back saying "add toner". What am I missing? Thanks.

likely a issue with the hopper assembly. I've had a couple of them go in the past.

it might just need cleaning out and resat. sounds like the DENS sensor isn't reading correctly, that or the hopper unit as a whole has failed.

When it says add toner cheat the toner door & check that the bottle turns, if it doesn't pull the bottle towards you while its trying to drive, seen this a few times

Did you run the add toner again the light went out. Sometimes you need to run it again, and run the d-gamma adjustment twice. I know this is for when installing a new drum but if they ran it completely bone dry you need to run this.

I've had this several times and had to replace the hopper
